    **If you do use King David get a second opinion if they fail your MOT. Make sure they give you your alloy wheel key back and check all the nuts are screwed on before you leave. Always pay by credit card as your card company can help you retrieve costs if you have been ripped off** Their business model is to lure you in with a £20 MOT then fail your car. This technically makes it illegal for you to drive away so they have you trapped there. They will then start at some ridiculous price to make your car legal, if you jib at this they will quickly start to reduce the price to make sure you don’t leave. I was attracted to their £20 MOT so took my car to King David on Penarth Road Cardiff. I had a call shortly after from them to say they had to fail my MOT because the service brake was dangerous, the parking brake wasn't working legally and that one of the tyres had a split in it. The cost for them to make my car legal was £750! I needed time to think about this but within a few minutes he had called back and had dropped the price to £600! I knew then that i was being conned and that they were taking full advantage of me because I clearly know nothing about cars. I went Immediately to pick my car up as I had lost all trust by now in King David and didn't want my car there a minute longer. When I arrived the price had dropped to £350! This just reconfirmed that they were conning me big time. I booked my car in the next day with another local garage expecting the car to fail on what King David had failed it on but hopefully offering me a realistic price. I could not believe it when I had a call to say my car had passed the MOT!!! I paid £40 for the second MOT... Best £40 I've spent. I am absolutely furious that King David would try and extort £750 out of me and I dread to think how many other people have been conned by them. Don't use this company they have no moral fibre, I don't know how they sleep at night!
